Pandemic turning purple states blue. Why conservatives lost the midterms.

https://www.axios.com/2022/12/09/kyrste ... ent-senate

Sen\. Kyrsten Sinema of AZ quits Dems goes Independent. Up for reelection next time and worried. Its back to 50-50.

Joe Manchin D WVa now back in drivers seat.
Don't assume Sinema is going to automatically vote with Republicans. She wants to retain her committee assignments given to her by the Democrats.
I'll believe she will go against the Dems when I see it.

Right. She has already said that she will not caucus with the Republicans. Even if she doesn't caucus with the Dems it would then be 50-49. Assuming she does indeed continue to caucus with the Dems it'll remain 51-49. Either way the Dems have a majority.

Following Sinema's Exit, Romney Announces Intention To Remain In Democratic Party
https://babylonbee.com/news/following-s ... crat-party
Senator Mitt Romney reassured supporters today that he would be remaining a faithful member of the Democratic Party.

"The Democratic Party can continue to count on me through thick and thin," said Mr. Romney in a statement. "While Senator Sinema and I have both occasionally voted with Congressional Republicans, I want voters to rest assured that I will never go turncoat like her. I'm staying put."

So since the midterms it continues to be disappointing.

1.7 trillion budget passes with a bunch of Republican defections including the current Republican leader Mitch McConnell. New majority will have no control over Brandon’s Budget until September.

Trump most likely will be indicted.

Now we have this.

Some NY representative elect appears to not be who he says he is.

If that wasn't evidence that our entire political establishment is corrupt, I don't know what is. Republicans are no more working for the people than democrats are. I am more disgusted by the republicans for this bill than I am the democrats. Democrats are at least being honest about not giving a crap about Americans. Republicans simply lie and then stab us in the back.

Alexandria Occasio Cortez voted against the Omnibus Bill, the only Democrat to do so. It easily passed the house.

It contained a budget increase for DHS and ICE.

They think we are all ignorant. Scum bags allow enough votes to pass bills like this but allow enough room for politicians in tougher "at risk" districts to vote no so they can pretend to be on the right side of things. Maybe they are right. Maybe we are all ignorant. We keep allowing this dog and pony show to continue. Nice of him to utilize our tax money to send out a Christmas card. Thanks for letting me know. That explains where 30 cents of the 20K in taxes I paid last year went. I am expecting a Christmas card from that dictator in Ukraine any day now.

Right there! More proof of the games they play. Her district is all about getting rid of DHS and ICE so they allowed her room to pretend she was voting for the 50 people in her district that actually voted.
