The range employee took cash for the "rental" rather than plastic. He had taken possession of the renter's DL since it looked like her.

Yeah... that one is going to sting a little bit. She is going to have a whole new ID made up of numbers. I will never get people who do dumb things like this. Do they think they won't get caught or are they just too darned stupid to care about spending several years rotting away in prison? Especially a fully auto machine gun! If you or I did it absolutely. When degenerates steal/possess machine guns they get a plea deal for a misdemeanor. Look at all the Glock switches confiscated that never get charged for, but if someone has a 15.99 inch rifle, they're toast. I'm local to this range, and this was a transferrable machine gun worth on the low end $35,000. I would bet money Bexar County won't even charge her with felony theft.
