When you read 30 post on "you know your a gun nut" and your guilty of all of them.

You bought the wrong ammo and the only logical solution is buying the caliber to match it.

You own multiple firearms of the same caliber, but to you, they are all different.

You color coordinate your firearm to your clothing for better "concealment"

You have a summer carry firearm (Glock 26) and a winter carry (Glock 19)

You don't have a clue what "too much ammo" is.

I'm not sure if I'm a gun nut. Maybe you guys can help me figure it out.

I bought a 50" wide safe to go into my new house... 2 months before construction was completed.

Recently, I went to the gun store just to see if they had any .22LR... and came back with a Garand and an M1 Carbine.

Hmmm... Maybe I'm not a gun nut... I only have 5 1911's. I don't think that's enough to qualify. :biggrinjester:

Its sad that in todays world you have to think about collecting ammo months before buying the gun.
I ordered (6) full size (17 round) magazines for a S&W M&P 9mm the last week in December, 2012 from multiple online vendors.

I don't even own a S&W M&P 9mm, but figured I'll end up buying one someday. Might as well stock up on magazines for a gun I don't own (yet)!

You DO realize that there is a difference between a "gun nut" and just a plain "nut", right? :biggrinjester:

There are many who would argue I qualify.

When you talk your wife into going to a gunshow.....
Because you know after a few minutes she will tell you to buy a gun so we can leave already ;-)

When none of your pants or belts will stay up.....unless you have a handgun IWB.....

When your chair at the dinner table has a worn spot where you gun butt hits it.....

When your email is Full of NRA spam, cheaper than dirt, palmetto stae armory, cabellas, chief, Athena, Shiloh, and many others......

When you can quote the rules for a gunfight by heart but don't know who your neighbor is....

When your dog jumps up and runs to get her leash when she hears the Velcro sound as you adjust your trainers gun belt.....before you ask her if she wants to go for a walk.

When your friends think CLP is your after shave smell.

When the NSA reads your forum posts.....and you weren't surprised....

When you think a week trip to Gunsite is a very cool vacation

When you think "I'm gonna miss her" when your wife says one more gun and I'll leave you.....
:evil2:

When you are crushed at the realization......you just can't own them all.

A few years back I took my wife to a gun show. She actually found somebody selling small tools, and bought something she could use in her quilting. The punch line is that we went to a gun show, and she spent more than I did!! :thumbs2:

1. If more than 3 Uncle Mike's holsters have inexplicably appeared in your house (true story)

2. If you have ammo but no gun that shoots it. So you buy a gun that shoots it (I really want a Marlin 336 now because of this very issue).

When you move your entire family to a house in the middle of nowhere just so you can have your own personal outdoor shooting range.

Hmm, that 7.62X54R that I bought for that Mosin that I don't own.....

I guess my 1893 Spanish Mauser falls into this category since I don't even have ammo for it and probably should have it checked out before firing it!

My friends all view me as a gun nut in good standing. This thread makes me feel like a light weight.
