Trying something new this season :))))

I've bored of rifle hunting, it's time for something new. The investment is made and it's surprisingly natural to pick up and shoot. We are talking 3" groups at 30 yards after a few hours practice.

I'm excited....

Practice, practice, practice - it's a terrible thing to wound and lose it...

Yeah, I've been practicing. I'm going to see what my groups are like by Thu. If they are tight I will go on and hunt next weekend. I've already promised myself to keep my shots under 25 yds until my confidence improves. I'm very, very excited though.

Good luck with your new bow. The wife and I just bought bows and are really enjoying shooting. The exercise we are getting doesn't hurt either. Hopefully in the future she can try hog hunting with it. Enjoy your new sport as I do after picking it back up after after a 35 year hiatus from it.

Don't forget to lead your targets more.

Went to powder driven projectiles and just laid the bow down. Now it is good exercise and something that can be done at home each day. Plus my wife enjoys it now and that means a lot to me.
