Sad news. I watched the show and i watched it recently. I can't remember if it's on Netflix or one of the free Roku channels. I think there is one that specializes in the old TV shows.

He and his partbwr, Reed, made me want to be a cop when I was a kid.

You have an excellent memory Charles. There is a website dedicated to the equipment used during this show.

A tribute to Officer Malloy and how cops used to deal with dogs.

I still like the show.

Wow, I was born in 89. So I've been watching this show recently, never seen it before. I don't have cable so I catch it on the antenna. RIP.

I seen just about every series of this show. I remember riding along with my Dad and his partner. This kinda of police work happened often. It would be good to see the community get behind law enforcement once again!

It seemed like 30-40 years ago the neighborhood appreciated the police more than they do now. :tiphat:

Where I live, its very pro police. A lot of that has to do with how they communicate with us. They even run a social media and update us daily.

I used to watch "Route 66" when I was a boy, and "Adam-12" when I was a yoot. Loved 'em both. 83 years old at the time of his death, he had a long and good life.

I have a family connection of the "6 degrees of separation" type to both "Route 66" and "Adam-12"......

Bobby Troup, who wrote the 1946 hit song "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66", also played the role of Dr. Joe Early on "Emergency!". "Adam-12", "Emergency", and "Dragnet" were all Jack Webb (Sgt Joe Friday) productions. Also, Martin Milner had 3 guest-starring appearances in episodes of "Emergency!" with Bobby Troop. Anyway, Bobby Troup was a long time friend of my Aunt Meg and Uncle Tom, who both worked in Hollywood before and after WW2, and remained in the theater all their lives, and he became friends with my parents. Apparently, Bobby Troup used to dandle me on his knee whenever he was visiting my aunt and uncle, and my parents were there.

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it. I am, however remotely, connected to Martin Milner through family to another actor/composer who co-starred in a separate TV show also produced by Jack Webb and who used to dandle me on his knee.

You may all kiss my ring.
