He hung himself.

What a jerk.

He blathered on and on about how much he loved his daughter.

If he really loved her, he could've quietly jumped off an ocean liner wearing lead boots never to be seen again.

Then, it would be "I wonder whatever happened Anthony Bourdain, guess we'll never know..?

But, instead he leaves his daughter this dreadful legacy.

What a cruel, thoughtless jerk!

From http://hollywoodlife.com/2018/06/09/ant ... t-suicide/
famed chef sadly took his own life using the belt from a bathrobe located in the hotel room he was staying at in France
Obviously, it's time to have a conversation about common-sense 'after bath clothing' control. Perhaps we
- need to institute a NICS (National Insanity Check System) for hotels to use before they issue robes
- for those that pass NICS, they should be limited to one robe per month
- no bathrobes for anyone under 21
- creation of Bathrobe-Free Zones, where appropriate
- micro-serial# woven into the fabric used in every bathrobe
- should institute a 40% bathrobe tax, funds to be earmarked for suicide prevention programs, and development of 'smart-bathrobe-belt techology'
- initiate a Twitter campaign; #TerryclothNeverAgain!
- given that the hotel was in Alsace, and as that region has changed hands repeatedly between Germany and France throughout history; a Blue Ribbon Commission needs to be appointed to determine wether we attach blame for this event to Angela Merkel or Emmanuel Macron :eek6

With my many years of experience as a EMT and a Paramedic if somebody is going to off themselves, nothing will stop them, if they are determined they'll succeed! The truly considerate ones won't, the somewhat considerate ones will chose a place where they are found by a stranger, the selfish ones will do it so family finds them! SUICIDE IS A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO A TEMPORARY PROBLEM!
Government, like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master
If you ain't paranoid you ain't paying attention
Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here- John Parker

He always did seem on edge, though i liked his shows on Travel Channel and CNN. Apparently he kicked a heroin addiction earlier in life. I know he was a big lib, but mostly kept it out of his shows and made them more about travel and food than his leftist politics. I feel badly for his family.

He didn't care a whit about his family.

If suicide is your decision, it can be done discreetly.

There's no need to horrify/terrorize your loved ones.

It is quite possible to simply disappear.

Remember Amelia Earhart?

Go out like this piece of garbage?

Unnecessary!
