Britain Celebrates Coronation With Time-Honored Tradition Of Arresting Anti-Monarchists
London’s Metropolitan Police made 52 arrests during the coronation, including many anti-monarchy protesters who were wearing yellow T-shirts and shouting “Not My King.”

The group said that they were not told the reason for their arrests and that police “would figure it out” later. If the group wanted to make a statement against the monarchy, it has succeeded. The group posted on Twitter, commenting: “So much for the right to peaceful protest.”
I salute the protestors. :patriot:

Insurrection! It was an insurrection! There is no doubt it was an armed insurrection because someone had to have had a sign on a stick that could be used as a weapon! Or was at least carrying a dangerous pointed object like a pen!

Can we lend the UK all of our committee members who held the January 6 "hearings" so that we can help an ally investigate this insurrectionist rebellion?

Agreed. Lets put them on a boat, and ship them over on permanent "loan".

Conservative council member was arrested by police in England for retweeting a video of a Christian preacher being arrested in England for street preaching, I think. Original tweet was sent by an ultra right wing group, who the council member was not aware of, but was being watched by the police for their Christian views.

That is very sad.

I was in Switzerland recently and one of the people I spoke from was from UK. She said she was glad her children were growing up in Switzerland where they were much more free than the UK.

That is the single biggest problem with the government paying for medical care. They get to decide how to spend their money and if it is a waste to spend it on someone with an incurable disease or not. The details of this case show the problem with socialized medicine. At what point is the patient delusional for saying she wants to keep fighting for her life when the illness is sure to kill her? The old saying is that the person who pays the piper calls the tune, so when the government is paying, they get to decide on what.

And Socialists in the US say that cannot happen here. Yeah right. What happens when the government realizes we are all certain to die and so we never need any medical care. All it does is waste money and give us a longer life.

A while back a little UK boy had a treatable disease in the US. The doctors said come to US and we will treat the boy for free. UK went to court to take parental rights away so he couldn’t come to US and embarrass UK heath system. He died there.

Canada now has assisted suicide. I understand that is being prescribed by doctors now for patients with expensive diseases, including I understand children.

really a hard pill to swallow, no pun intended
lost a good friend when va stop buying his very pricey cancer drugs. he lost that fight because his private insurance wouldn't pay for it either
so i guess it is happening here as well
he was not going to be cured , but still could have lived and been productive for a quite a bit longer

I don't mind people flying Palestinian flags... but I defend the rights of anyone to complain about it. Past time for Britain to shed their oppression.
