Happy 182nd Birthday to the Texas Rangers
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

round these parts, we run with 1823 as the year Stephen F. Austin formed the Texas Rangers under the command of Captain Morris. That makes the Texas Rangers 195 my brother.

I finished reading read "Rangers and Pioneers of Texas" by A J Sowell about a month ago. Provides a personal look at days in Texas from the 1820's to 1880's through his eyes as a youngster to Independence to his days as a Ranger.
