NPC - the new way to insult liberals

I am as annoyed, no sickened, by the liberal/PC culture as anybody but I think we need to change our terms some. I think it is a mistake to label all liberals as America hating and anti-gun. I have much to my shock met more than one "liberal" on the gun range. I have to admit that perplexes me more than a little. That said I think we would be wise to not insult them but try and use the common ground of gun ownership to at least get them to consider only voting for pro gun candidates. Tall order I know but we need all the help we can get. Now, the absolute Radicalized Leftists are a whole other matter and in my view are likely beyond help and reason unless a faced with a cataclysmic event and they learn the hard way the reason for the staunch defense of the 2nd Amendment. If events continue on the current path that may be sooner than later. We will see.....

BTW that does not mean I do not enjoy the humor in the memes. Some of it is pretty funny....and sadly true.

There are two ways to resolve political differences. Confrontation or Evangelism. Confrontation results can be ugly it forces the neutral sides to take sides and the logical resolution often is determined by violence. Evangelism relies on intellectual confrontation rather than physical for conversion. The problem with evangelism is the opposing side never completely goes away.

The Democrats and the left by nature used to be the natural defenders of basic human rights. It's not a hard stretch for an honest liberal to see basic human rights, such as the right to defend one's self, seriously. We conservatives can be more successful when we recognize this and use evangelism rather than confrontation ignoring the extremist and counseling those open to reason. Our side is better served when those incapable of reasonable discussion stifle themselves, and rather we promote 2nd amendment issues as human rights.

This thread is titled incorrectly because the “classic” liberal to which you refer isn’t the intended target. Classic liberals are not the same people as the progressive socialists who are the subject of the NPC memes. The problem is that the Democrat party has few classic liberals left in positions of influence. Their guilt is by association and allowing their party to be co-opted by progressive socialists whose goal is to destroy our republic. Trying to reason with and be nice to progressive socialists SJW’s hasn’t worked, just ask those among them who dared to disagree with anything the SJW’s scream, rant, cry and demonstrate about.
The classic liberals should be able to see that if conservatives are destroyed that they would become the “radical right” targets of the progressive socialists.

I would agree. Few Classic liberals as you refer to them left. The Democrat party is now Radicalized Socialists.
