Maneshewitz makes a pretty decent Matzoh ball soup in a box. You can probably find it at your local grocery store. Very easy to make... Just need to be patient about letting the matzo mix set up for a short while before making balls, AND, don't roll them too tight or they'll come out hard in the middle.Take Down Sicko wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 8:42 pm Happy Hanuka my friends. He spread abroad the glory of his people, and put on his breastplate like a giant. He armed himself with weapons of war; he fought battles and protected the camp with his sword. In his deeds he was like a lion, like a young lion roaring for prey. He pursued the lawless, hunting them out, and those who troubled his people he destroyed by fire. The lawless were cowed by fear of him, and all evildoers were dismayed. By his hand deliverance was happily achieved, and he afflicted many kings. He gave joy to Jacob by his deeds, and his memory is blessed forever.
There's a new place in Southlake, "Everest Burgers", that serves a very good pastrami. Unfortunately they only serve it on a sub-roll and they don't have any brown mustard in the whole place. I'm trying to convince them to add Rye, but the pastrami is worth having to BYO brown mustard.G26ster wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 1:03 pm Having grown up in NYC on "Lawn Giland," in a Jewish family, there were two fabulous Jewish Delis in my neighborhood. Alas, that was the '50s and they are gone now. Are there any true Jewish Delis anywhere in the DFW area? I'd pay big money for a big fat potato knish, and a "real" hot pastrami on rye
