Newest H-E-B opened down the road, traffic is horrible...
H-E-B opened their newest store yesterday in Hudson Oaks; to my knowledge this is their northern-most store (if you don’t count Central Markets) and a welcome addition for us as we’d been driving 45 mins+ weekly to either shop at the Burleson or Granbury store. Now it’s about a 5 min drive, but...the traffic. You’d have thought Trump was in town holding a rally.
I foolishly thought I’d stop by and pick up a few thing yesterday afternoon. While I was able to get in and get what I needed, it was a zoo. Seems I wasn’t the only one that was not-so-patiently waiting for them to open.
Oh well, much like the continued success of Chick-Fil-A I’m glad to see a company like H-E-B thrive by virtue of a good product, superior service, and a commitment to the local community. Now if everyone else would just stay home I could shop in peace...

Give it about 2-3 weeks... when our HEB opened it clogged the area for solid 2 weeks. (and it was 3 weeks before I even got in!) Once the people get used to it, traffic improves.

Wow! I wish I lived that close to Boo Rays.
HEB in Waxahachie is always crowded. I've never been there and found a half empty parking lot.

Hudson Oaks is just West of Fort Worth East of Weatherford.
I have two soon to be three HEB’s within three miles of me in Houston. Always crowded any time of day.
It’s nice to see well run businesses doing well.
I still visit Kroger as HEB doesn’t still carry everything I want.

Is Boo Rays good? Lived out this way for a while and have never been. Our go-to Cajun is at GoGo Gumbo up in Boyd.

Very good. Not a Cajun dish, but they have a fantastic Ribeye. The bread pudding is the best I've tasted.

They’re posted 30.07 but not 30.06 so I’d say not really.

We only have a Brookshire Bros. in our hamlet. On a recent RV trip, we were introduced to HEB Plus in Spring Branch and visited another Plus in Waco. WOW! We country bumpkins were staggered by the quality, knowledge of employees, choices, varieties, etc., etc.

Stopped at the new HEB this evening. Very packed but all lanes were open and I got in and out reasonably quickly. Very glad to finally have an HEB in Parker County!

I like HEB and its history as a Texas grocery, but they are so busy i hate to go there, crowds annoy me.
Seguin had a 60K square foot HEB until a couple or three years ago when a 100k sq ft one was built right next to it and the old one knocked down for parking and other businesses. It has an overwhelming abundance of choices...and crowds...and also has a VERY good bbq restaurant in the front of the store. Really good brisket.
But i shop at Arlan’s most of the time to get when i only need to get a few things. I’m sure it’s more expensive and definitely limited, but i can park immediately and get in and out in a few minutes.

How's the deli section at HEB, I never been in one as it's not local to me yet.
