During the ice age, what melted the ice? Global warming. So, after all these centuries, now it's a problem? Can we get the VA fixed first?

Call me when China and India are ready to get on board. Until then, it's pointless.

IF climate change is sufficiently anthropogenic to be "fixable" via changes in human activity (I'm very skeptical), the cost of changing global behavior needs to be weighed against the benefits it might bring. How much flooding? At what cost? vs spending (less?) money on mitigating the effects of warming and being able to farm in Siberia..

Isn't it more realistic to invest in solutions to the effects of allegedly-inevitable warming (because China and India will not change, let's be realistic)?

As has been stated, the global warming/climate change hoax/deceit is another socialistic excuse for distribution of wealth AND power. Following the money is always true.

Uvalde, Texas shooting: Blaming police for waiting is ‘destructive, distracting, and unfair,’ Sen. Cornyn says

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/uvalde ... ing-cornyn

I’m reading that the hero who shot and killed the shooter was an off duty border patrol officer who was getting a haircut his wife called trapped in the school with their daughter. He asked the barber if he could borrow his shot gun, went in the school rescued his wife and daughter, then entered the room with the shooter and killed him.

John Cornyn is an idiot. He's giving away our rights. So worthless and weak. I wrote him a letter this week and told him so.

Correction: The global warming/climate change hoax/deceit is another socialistic excuse for distribution of wealth and CONSOLIDATION of power.

In addition, the communist system does not excel at providing consumer products to its citizens, climate change require that we all give up all of those unnecesary luxuries for the good of the planet. A car, a home with a yard, children, eating meat, vacations all must be ended for the good of the planet.

If there is no consumer economy to compare it to communism is perfect.

I have to say that has to be one of the most absurd things I have heard Cornyn say. It has been standard law enforcement procedure to immediately engage an active shooter for over 20 years. If someone in authority orders a stand down and as a result children and teachers die (apparently at least one by bleeding out) it is only fair to have an accounting for that action. The fact that the LEO who ordered the stand down was BETO supporter, and BETO subsequently made a public scene about it in order to attack our god given Constitutional rights suggests a possible motive for the stand down. In that context Cornyn is either actively covering up for police incompetence or murder by inaction. Shameful.

Cornyn has to go.

From GOA email:
Here are the 10 Republicans who have agreed to tear apart the Second Amendment:
John Cornyn (TX)
Thom Tillis (NC)
Roy Blunt (MO)
Richard Burr (NC)
Bill Cassidy (LA)
Susan Collins (ME)
Lindsey Graham (SC)
Rob Portman (OH)
Mitt Romney (UT)
Pat Toomey (PA)

It’s horrible that we now have to hope a Democrat votes against further infringements.

Thinking that any list of Republicans that includes Susan Collins, Lindsey Graham, Rob Portman can't be all good, I checked the website ProgressivePunch--which I won't link for obvious reasons, They rank sitting senators on a scale of most progressive (i.e., leftist) to least, with percentages for "crucial votes" and overall voting percentage. They use 100% as best, meaning so far left Lenin wouldn't be able to see them without looking around a corner. Alex Padilla, (D) California gets a lifetime "crucial vote" percentage of 99.48% to rank number one. There are a couple of ties in the list, so the numbered ranking goes to 99.

Below, I'll add the info for the...esteemed senators that Grayling showed from GOA, and I'll highlight something that's particularly troubling (and frankly unfathomable) to me: the difference between overall votes, lifetime, vs. overall votes, 2021-2022. By the way, the two senators tied for last place and the ones ProgressivePunch considers the "worst" Republicans are Cindy Hyde-Smith, Mississippi, and Roger Marshall, Kansas.

How do you propose we do that? He has never been seriously challenged by any candidate we can muster, the only alternative is to vote for his opponent - but that would be disastrous.

So we are stuck with him until ....
