In 1972 he told 9th graders while running for Governor, we committed acts in Vietnam almost as bad as Hitler. North Vietnam was not his enemy.

During the New Hampshire Democrat debate, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) again voiced support for banning “assault weapons” and admitted that such a ban is just the start.

He said he will “make certain that we end the sale and distribution of ‘assault weapons’ in this country.'” And as the audience applauded he added, “And we go further, we go further, but the bottom line is that I will not be intimidated by the NRA.
He wouldn't be a good communist if he said the opposite.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I'm still waiting for one of these loons to say they are willing to kill hundreds of thousands to forcibly take people's property!

The people’s property not a person’s property.

All property belongs to the State, Collective or the Ruler.

A person can use property only with the permission of the State, Collective or Ruler.

The Utopia.

Makes perfect sense for Bernie.

Bernie supported the Iranians during the Iran hostage crisis.

Boy that is some indictment.

Sanders is probably going to win, but in the long term that's a good thing. The odds that the current economic bubble lasts for another 4 years are very low, and as a result, if Trump is re-elected, he'll take the blame. Whoever sits in the White House when the music stops will take the fall, no matter whose fault it was (I'd vote that Trump and Obama should split it 30/70). If Trump gets that blame it will likely damage Republican electoral performance for a decade or more.

At this point, with these risks, I'll take President Sanders trying to explain away a depression (and restrained by a Republican controlled Senate and/or House). As much as Sanders talks about guns being the devil, he'll make zero legislative progress in the regard unless the Democrats completely sweep the House and Senate. If Sanders is sitting in the White House trying to fight a depression armed with negative interest rates and more Quantitative Easing he WILL provoke stagflation. Bernie Sanders flailing about and making an economic collapse worse will injure socialism for decades, and by extension the proponents of gun control.

Keeping McSally and Collins in the Senate is a big deal, especially since those votes will also require a moderate to replace RGB.

Never been a fan of rooting for a period of collapse just to try to bury an ideology. The left is currently cheerleading for a collapse in hopes that it will undo Trump.

I agree, but I worry that you think that my motivation is "cheerleading". I'd call it "Seeing the writing on the wall and hoping to make the best of it."
