Ammo availability: 6.5 Creedmoor vs .308 Winchester

#1

Post by Crash »

What have you folks been seeing in your locations as far as ammo availability of 6.5 Creedmoor vs .308 Winchester? I live in Fredericksburg and every place I have looked so far has had much more ,308 than 6.5 Creedmoor and a greater variety of bullet types. Also, most of the 6.5 Creedmore was more expensive, If you find some place that has just as much 6.5 Creedmoor as .308, please let me know;

I was looking to get a new rifle a couple of years ago and this was the very reason I decided against the 6.5 Creedmoor

I was a Academy earlier this week. A quick glance looked like more 308 than 6.5.

Which is better? The 6.5 is a credible caliber but I'm old school enough to choose the 308.
