Unfortunately, website that I host the map is down. Here is the most current image, although I need to remove MN, just haven't done that yet.

EDIT - 8/17 - Just updated the map to remove MN.

Sir,
Thank you. It appears as a attachment. I was planning a trip to Iowa and Mn. What happen to Mn. Reciprocity of Texas license? I cross refered to any other site with same results.
Thank you.

MN recently updated their policies (8/12), and because TX will grant to under 21, MN will no longer honor TX permits. Here is a thread on the subject: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=79072

Ok, I found a answer to my own question.
"Under Minnesota law, the Department of Public Safety (DPS) has been required since 2003 to publish a list of states which have handgun carry permit laws that are not substantially similar to Minnesota’s permit-to-carry law.
During the 2015 legislative session, a law was passed that changed the phrase “substantially similar” to “similar”.
Minnesota permit-to-carry law is M.S. 624.714. Subdivision 16 deals with “recognition of permits from other states.”

Maine is now Constitutional/permitless concealed carry as of today - which is just as good as reciprocity.
Keep calm and carry.

As of Yesterday that no longer matters as Maine passed Constitutional Carry that was effective 10-15-2015.

Actually, it seems that it does matter, and Maine does not honor the Texas permit. Maine allows permitless concealed carry, but there are more restrictions on permitless carry than on carrying with a permit. Since they don't honor the Texas license, we would fall under the more restricted "permitless carry" provisions.

I agree, ME isn't really recognizing Texas CHL, so I have gone back to the precious version. I will need to rethink how and if we'll show this on the Map. Thanks all for helping me stay current and keeping me informed.

Maybe use a different color (blue?) to denote when a state does not require a license to carry, and use multi-colored diagonal stripes if more than one color applies. e.g. Arizona, Kansas & Alaska would have green and blue stripes, Vermont would be blue only, Maine would have red and blue stripes, and Wyoming would just be green, because Wyoming license-free carry only applies to Wyoming residents (despite the apparent 14th Amendment violation).

Also your key still shows a blue F for Florida, despite it not actually showing up on the map anywhere.

Good points to think about.....

Yeah, historically, a Florida non-res permit was very helpful it carrying in other states. That's not the case anymore, but I have decided to keep it there in the key just in case someone thinks it would help.

My Bride and I will be driving around much of The SE United States soon. Trip will start here in TEXAS and will U-Turn somewhere near the end of the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Pkws. We have TEXAS CHL license and I have UTAH as well. If I read it right, the reciprocity map was last updated several years ago. Have there been any changes and 'Gotcha' restrictions since the last (2008?) update.

TX, La, Ms, Al, Ga, NC, Tn, Va, turn and follow coastal roads to Fl, the Keys, back to I 10 and TEXAS.

Thank you.

salty.
