Colleges are places to learn, not die at the hands of attention-starved mass-murderers.

WOOF!

Talk about hitting below the belt!

Until just now I had not thought of it, saying that campus police would have more trouble telling the good guys from the bad guys on a school campus than other police on the regular streets of Texas.

I have to agree with the author, I mean these are highly paid and highly respected leaders of their respective institutions so they must be aware of the capabilities of their law enforcemnt officers, right?

Maybe this admission of less competence on the part of campus police actually makes concealed carry on campus not just a good idea, but imperative. After all, if they have that much trouble telling the good guys from the bad guys . . .

Universities always seem to have a "We can't cope with it" attitude.

Our police can't tell the difference.

Our students aren't mature yet.

Our professors are scared if they give a bad grade.

Our admin is vulnerable, and well, we just don't want it because we said so.

It is such an isolated world that the university employees live in and they don't like when others have some control of it.

I know! Let's ban guns! Register guns! Yeah, that's worked.

I saw the author of the article take on one of the Brady bunch in a TV interview. I wish I could be a calm and articulate as he is.

The good part about all the Liberal professors, Chancellors, etc. running around making wild statements is that it provides plenty of fodder for rebuttals like this one.

Kindergarten-12th grade, but some interesting things in it
Police are trained to expect the unexpected, he said, because it is always easier to de-escalate a response.
