I am shocked :shock: to find that even NBC has picked up the story:

http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/05 ... finds?lite" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Note the disclaimer at the end however:
The report is strictly factual and offers no analysis about the reasons for the decline in gun violence.

This seems particularly noteworthy to me.
While the number of firearm crimes declined over time, the percentage of all violence that involved a firearm did not change substantively, fluctuating between 6% and 9% over the same period. In 1993, 9% of all violence was committed with a firearm, compared to 8% in 2011.
Begs the question; what's the other 91% of violence committed with? Unfortunately, I can't find the answer to that in the report.

You will also like this:
37.4% of firearms used by felons were obtained from family or friends, 40% were obtained illegally and 11.3% were purchased. Purchased guns were obtained from (wait for it) retail stores 7.3%, pawn shops 2.6%, flea markets 0.6% and gun shows 0.8%.

So this blows a huge hole in the gun show loophole rhetoric as well. That is not where criminals get their guns.

NPR even picked it up! Albeit it was literally a ten second blurb.

Doesn't matter, the gun grabbers and politicians don't give a RIP about the truth. They just want POWER and CONTROL, which is limited as long as "We The People" are armed. UNLESS, we are willing to follow through on the 2nd....... :patriot: :txflag:
