Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Another Beto data point that isn't being mentioned is that while he did attend El Paso High School briefly, he graduated from a very exclusive, elite private high school in Virginia (yes, Virginia), Woodbury Forest. Tuition there starts at about $60,000 per year. Yeah, he can really identify with those poor border meskins, eh?

EnyoTX wrote: Fri Aug 31, 2018 9:55 am You may have heard about Beto's DUI history. He himself has mentioned it at his town halls (as journalists love to mention to show how honest of a person he is). Guess what? Turns out Beto has been leaving out some crucial details from his retelling:

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/p ... 195088.php
The law enforcement reports show two elements of the incident that have been overlooked: that there was a crash involved, and that O’Rourke allegedly attempted to flee.
The people who will vote for Beto don't care about such things.
They not only don't care, they'd cheer him on, hoping he gets away.

Bingo .. He's being shunned by the major media on purpose. He's held rallies all across the state but barely gets a mention. VOTE folks, VOTE.

Anything's possible. Remember, Hillary got 44% of the Texas vote. You know, in every election, people talk about how important it is to get out and vote. It's essentially a standard script. But this time, it really IS important; it's critical, if we don't want to lose Texas to the liberal socialists.

Can he beat Cruz?

Absolutely, if the right sits on it's hands and stays home.

Get a yard sign (for Cruz) talk this up with like minded folks and get out the vote.

The Hill is reporting Robert is one point behind Cruz. Everybody reading this better be taking it and his candidacy seriously. Responding back with "Yeah well the polls were wrong about Trump" is a good way to breed complacency and ensure Robert wins.

The polls were only wrong about Trump because people considered the threat of Hillary to be real. Unless people realize that they need to turn out and vote in this election, the threat of Beto will turn out to be a nightmare.

It was on the news this morning: Trump is trying to book a stadium for the event sometime in October. Site has not been determined yet, but I'm guessing either Dallas or Houston.
