Gallup: Majority of Americans oppose bans on “assault rifles”

57% oppose, 40% support a ban.

Odd that Democrat Party has no interest in “democracy” on this issue.

Note: Gallup defines semi-automatic firearms as “assault rifles”. Even when the question is rigged they lose.
The latest findings, from an Oct. 1-10 survey, mark the eighth time since 1996 that Gallup has gauged public opinion on banning "semi-automatic guns, known as assault rifles." These types of guns, which reload automatically but fire only once per trigger pull, have been used in a number of mass shootings in the U.S. in recent years.

I hope that the Democratic Party platform ideas lead to the defeat of their candidates like the current one running for US Senator from Texas. He blatantly pushed his agenda for this ban in the debates. I have no doubt that if they possessed majorities in the Federal Congress, the DNC would do their best overrule the interests of the public.

THey have no core principles at all but they do have two very important things. A short list of things they promise to do and gun control is at the top of it. Make no mistake, no matter what else happens, gun control will be one of the top 5 items of the next democrat president and even without one given a chance Pelosi and Schumer wll keep passing their top agenda items and force even a republican president to sign them if he/she wants to get anything else throgh congress at all during his/her tenure. DACA will suddenly be back in the news too along with nationalized healtcare, count on both.

The other thing they have is a "Win at any cost, no matter who or how many Americans get hurt or even die" attitude. Bank on that, they don't care for one measly minute if a strong majority in the country are against whatever Dem's are pushing they'll charge forward anyhow.

Any "assault rifle" ban is an obvious, blatantly unconstitutional, power grab. End of story.

History tells us anyone in power supporting such a ban is a would be tyrant or oligarch. The fact that the polls are against a ban makes that crystal clear.

We will not surrender our birth right. Ever.
