Smith & Wesson announced on Friday it will not pursue so-called smart guns or abandon any of its current product line despite pressure from a group of investors.
The report found customers don't blame Smith & Wesson for criminal acts committed with firearms, that smart gun technology is "neither reliable nor commercially viable at this time," and the company's performance and reputation "are rooted in Smith & Wesson being a strong defender of the Second Amendment." Instead of changing the company’s position, American Outdoor Brands said the report reaffirmed their current commitments.
Good for Smith & Wesson.

These “investors” should follow liberal presidential candidate Howard Schultz’s advice from 6 years ago:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/fredericka ... fea43443fa
At Starbucks’ annual meeting in Seattle on Wednesday a shareholder complained to the chief executive, Howard Schultz, that the company had lost customers because of its support for gay marriage. Last year Starbucks announced its support for Washington's state's referendum backing gay marriage, and in response the National Organization for Marriage launched a boycott of the coffee chain.

—-SNIP—-

“We employ over 200,000 people in this company, and we want to embrace diversity. Of all kinds."

At that point the audience interrupted in cheers and applause. Then Schultz concluded, "If you feel, respectfully, that you can get a higher return than the 38% you got last year, it's a free country. You can sell your shares in Starbucks and buy shares in another company. Thank you very much." More cheers.

We own 4 M&P M2.0s; my 9mm 5inch, my dad's Compact, my broyher's Shield, my son's Compact. When my children turn 21 and get their LTC, I buy a pistol for them. S&W continues to be my choice.

I have been trying to talk myself into buying a 686 Plus 3-5-7 magnum series 3" model with the unfluted cylinder. Actually, I wish they did the Performance Center version as a 3". They do a 2.5" and a 4".
