Dick's CEO is saying that the 10 Test Stores with NO Hunting/shooting merchandise are doing better than the stores with them.
Considering dropping all Hunting merchandise.

HAHAHAH.
Yeah these morons are DEAD to me after the "ASSAULT RIFLE" fiasco where they pulled and destroyed all their evil black rifles.
I wouldn't take free stuff from them.
Dead. To. Me.

As far as I'm concerned, none of these very aptly named stores have guns.

Does not surprise me. After their stance on 2A issues, there are many who have decided to not patronize their stores. If 2A supporters do not patronize their stores, then the hunting/shooting equipment they have, limited as it is, is just taking up valuable retail space.

I haven't been in one since they pulled that nonsense. Not going back.

Exactly. So if they have effectively run off all 2A supporters, why bother stocking shooting/hunting equipment?

I suspect they selected 10 stores in areas where guns are not part of the culture and practice.

Probably. They are so brave.

The president of Dick's Sporting Goods is a woman--Lauren Hobart. She graduated from the Stanford Business School.
I will venture a guess she is an ultra-liberal who voted for Hillary.

I got roped into taking my son to the mall last week to buy some shoes and shorts for school. NOT at Dick's. I've made it clear that we won't be a part of ANY commercial transactions at that particular establishment, and my kids agree. My wife, alas, has strayed a couple of times to buy stinkin gym shorts... ANYWAY. As we drove up to the dreaded mall, I asked him where the store with his prized items were, and he said "just park by Dick's, we can walk through there; it's right outside". I laughed, and said "you realize that stepping foot into that store for me is like a vampire stepping into sunlight, right?. As much as I HATE the mall, We'll park at the other side and walk". He laughed so hard he about did a spit take with the swig of water he'd just taken, gave me a fist bump, and we walked.......

Or camping gear, or overpriced tee-shirts, or anything other than reasons to head back to Cabela's.

I buy guns and associated accessories (ammo, targets, shooting gear, cleaning gear, etc). I also like to Golf, and I buy clubs, balls, etc. My 3 kids are all active in sports, so I buy gear and supplies for their various sports, depending on the season. Of course, we also like to go camping and fishing, so I buy supplies for those activities as well.

None of those purchases have been made at Dick's since they decided to live up to the meaning of their name.
