I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that venue is a gun free zone?

It’s not likely the gun grabbers are going to have a meeting in a place where they might get exposed to all kinds of evil gun carrying citizens.

I’m here now. No 30.06 signs
They are just talking about social media today
Lots of Moms Demand Action red shirts
Quite a few pro-2A people also
But overall This small auditorium is not half full

Thanks for going. I had planned to attend but a family problem developed. Did they allow any of the pro-2A people to testify and, if so, how good were they with their testimony? I plan to call the committee today and voice my concerns about the proposals.

I wish I could answer. I listened while 7 experts from colleges, Facebook, DPD, DPS etc read a speech.

There was no mention of gun laws except "This isn't about guns.." The entire meeting was about social media, primarily Facebook who had sent a representative.
DPS sent an Asst Chief who didn't really know what they were doing re social. He was chastised about that.

Lots of generalities from FB about how they define hate speech etc. The panel was looking for specific recommendations and they were getting none.

You know what they say about committees. In this case it was probably a good thing.

It was boring. After about an hour people started leaving. I gave up about noon, figuring they would break for lunch.
