Picture to large - how do I resize?

#1

Post by LTCTLB » Mon May 30, 2016 11:12 am

I'm attempting to post a picture to better explain a topic, but I get an image too large error. How do I get past this?

I'm using an iPhone 6s Plus if that makes a difference.

That worked splendidly. Now, how do I do the same for my Avatar?

You will have to resize the avatar. Try this: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/

You will have to resize the avatar. Try this: http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/
And the size limit is 80X80 and a maximum file size of 6144 kb for your avatar.

Saving a photo as a .JPG significantly reduces the size as well.

Oh well. I've tried the link below, which automatically converts to jpg. I set it to give me even as small as 25 pixels all to no avail (still too large). I guess my avatar will stay as is.

Exactly - non-existent as it shall remain until I somehow figure it out, but it's low on my list of to-dos.

I use tinypic, and it gives you different size options to shrink or enlarge it

Windows' included program MSPAINT also works well for resizing and storing any graphic or picture as jpeg. Just type in "mspaint" at the Windows Start button. Note: this is true for a Windows 7 system, not sure about later versions of Windows.
