IWI X95 Finally Here

Post by QB »

UPS delivered my X95 today (it was at IWI for a left hand conversion so now I have both left and right hand bolts that are head spaced for my gun). I slapped a 1X prism optic on it and will shoot it Saturday but probably will end up putting on an Aimpoint H-1 once I get a high mount for it. I also will try out the backup sights and may even just use them because I only shoot at a 50 yard indoor range. This rifle will be shot offhand for center of mass/defensive type purposes and my Stag 3GL will be shot off a bipod for accuracy (which is a bit boring for that rifle at 50 yards). The Stag with it's Geissele trigger has me very spoiled so I'll have to get used to the X95, that's for sure.

I installed a Fab Defense ergonomic grip and some index clips on the top rail (and a few on the bottom rail). The index clips are alternating ODG and black. I purchased a Savvy Sniper sling and it was great but my Urban E.R.T. felt better to me so I returned the Savvy Sniper. The Savvy Sniper was less bulky but heck, I already had the E.R.T. with QD points and it works like the Savvy Sniper so I'll just save my money for more ammo. I also installed a Manticore Gasketed Port Cover.

So........below are a couple of pictures of Ziva (I loved that character on NCIS and the agent was Israeli).

Good looking gun! Congrats. Left handed to boot! :thumbs2:

Is that thing an NFA regulated gun? I know nothing about it.

Nicely done, really like the handrail!

Now you need to go shooting with Lovie from Zahal:

It's the civilian bullpup model that has a 26 1/8" overall length and 16.5" barrel. They are going to sell NFA models I think.

VERY nice looking QB. I'm not a fan of shooting a bullpup, but it sure looks sharp. :thumbs2:

Look forward to your range report.

Oh oh.........just HAD to also buy the FDE, picked it up today!!!! A quick picture below. I'm also getting this one converted to left hand because I want both bolts but I'll then change it back to right hand because my sister is going to use it for awhile.

I'll use either an Aimpoint H-1 or Vortex 1X Prism optic (which is what I use and I have a few extra sitting around). I'll also install a bipod stud on the bottom rail. My sister has to shoot sitting down and since the range we go to is max of 50 yards the bipod should work just fine for her.

Guess my bullpup family is complete now (yeah, right).

I was able to shoot my ODG X95 and it just loves Wolf Gold 55gr and Geco ammo....no issues. It's a real soft shooter and balances well. While I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Stag 3GL, it's a totally different rifle for a different use. The X95 is just downright fun to shoot offhand and is so easy to handle due to the rearward weight distribution.
