I uploaded my chl-100.pdf Nov 13.
I still have no status, I tried contacting them when calling it phone system says the are busy and hung up, I tried send email and got a generic email back.

I am at a lost at what I should do.

I would keep calling. At one point it asked if I wanted to be called back and they did.

Did you receive an email from them saying they received all your stuff? If not, I would keep calling or resubmit everything again.

The website does not have anything up for me yet.

I'm still showing:

LICENSE APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending License to Carry a Handgun application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required. Once the application and documents have been received by Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

I was hoping that by this point I would be showing what everyone else sees -- a list of documents and processes and the status of each. At least that would be confirmation they are doing something.

That depends if you had to disclose any arrests. Hopefully you sent the abstracts of any hiccups in the past.

Interesting. I submitted my renewal on the 19th of January. Got my confirmation, and my status changed to "submitted" Two days later the status fell off. It looks like I never applied for renewal. The site says once a LTC is issued, the status messages will no longer be available. Does this means that they are sending me a license in less than a week in total? Or that there is just a delay in updating my status, and that I will resume seeing the updates until they ship plastic?
Plastic - 19 June 13 (38 days); 4 March 17 (44 days)

For those of us waiting on a license, who aren't lucky enough to have a crystal clear squeaky clean record, DPS may have to do more digging on your criminal history. Its amazing, but i was told by one of the DPS reps (in a snooty tone i might add) 'if you've been arrested in the past they want to investigate it further.' I asked, 'isnt that just for the past 5 years?' her answer was 'No, the criminal investigation goes back to juvenile records.' I said 'i'm almost 50, that's a long way back, and my silly misdemeanor was dismissed like 20 years ago' She said, 'that doesnt matter, they have to investigate you further.' So i asked if i needed to get further information for them which would help expedite the process. Her reply was 'no they will send you a letter if they need something from you.' After hanging up i decided to look up the FBI background check information. Interestingly enough, i found that if the FBI has to do a background check on you, their website even says Current processing time is 12-14 weeks. Allow additional time for mail delivery.

So, if you have a less than perfect past, expect at least 14 weeks for FBI to check you out, and possibly a couple more weeks tacked on for DPS to process. 16 weeks, that's 4 months of possible agony waiting on approval.
