Texas JP Court Judge Makes National News
Texas Judge suspended after shocking admissions.
Look at her first name folks. One "L" or two, it doesn't seem to matter.

This is one of the reasons why I stay out of H-town as much as I can (quoted from article)
He pointed out that many of the accusations had long been public, and yet voters overwhelmingly reelected Green as a Harris County justice of the peace.

What is truly sad about this situation is that there is a minor child in the middle of this storm.

Re: Texas JP Court Judge Makes National News
I get the sense, that the WP thinks that all Texas judges, are this way, and that since we are a Red State, this is how she got elected. I don't think they realize how far left leaning Harris County is, or they would have ignored this story. I can't believe her attorney, claimed that her suspension was political, but that's what happens anytime a liberal gets caught violating the law, or the oath of their office. I wish that this would change the voter's minds in that district, but I fear, her replacement, will be just as corrupt.

Oh yes they do. You can tell because they did not mention her political party affiliation.Jusme wrote: ... I don't think they realize how far left leaning Harris County is, ...

Re: Texas JP Court Judge Makes National News
Not unlike many other elected officials from left dominated districts/cities/precincts. Total disrespect for the law, morals, and common decency. Yet they get reelected. One can only surmise that the voters in those districts/cities/precincts share the same lack of values. It's hard to imagine that they are too ignorant so the truth, but I suppose that is also possible.
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Her party affiliation is assumed by race. Had she been a rare black conservative republican judge the headline would have screamed that fact.ELB wrote:Oh yes they do. The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

One of the more troubling statements in the article.
He pointed out that many of the accusations had long been public, and yet voters overwhelmingly reelected Green as a Harris County justice of the peace.

No wonder why she was so popular in her community.

Just like Marion Berry in D.C. the voters are apparently enthusiastically willing to overlook blatant and public wrong doing. It is no wonder that candidates who believe in decency have a hard time getting traction.mojo84 wrote:One of the more troubling statements in the article.

Re: Texas JP Court Judge Makes National News
Apparently, according to her lawyer, because she kept getting elected that means she did nothing wrong.?? Wow! This sort of thing about makes my head hurt, that they try to pass it off like it's nothing people should be bothered about. When I've worked in positions of authority I would have been tarred and feathered and run out of town if I had done something remotely close to this.
