I do not have a bump-stock and do not expect to ever own one. However, reacting so quickly by putting them on the sacrificial legislative and/or regulation alter seems to be premature and desperate.

Political insiders have trouble guessing why us outsiders do not have much confidence in them and their methods. Here's a hint, when the dems win control, they run the show. When the repubs win, the dems run the show and the repubs argue and talk down to one another.

I couldn’t agree more.

What is hard to stomach is when your opponents, whether in person, FB or otherwise, use NRA’s stance on this issue to argue in their favor...”...you see, even NRA supports examining the legality of bump-stocks...” is what I’ve been told.

Maybe there is some strategical objective that I’m not seeing. So rather then leaving millions of us NRA members scratching our heads asking ourselves what the heck is going on, why doesn’t the NRA and Cornyn come out and convey to us their message a bit clearer.

So that nobody is left wondering and speculating, which is what as part of human condition will inevitably happen where clarity is absent.

Some of us are wondering if our belts will need to be ATF approved next.

I would trade bump-fire stocks for national reciprocity, IF said reciprocity was given full equivalence in all states and jurisdictions. Any reciprocity bill that stopped short of full equivalence would be useless. However, I highly doubt that NYC and the State of California would go along with any law that required them to allow Texans to carry handguns in those places. They'd probably run straight to one of their hip-pocket left-winger judges and sue to stop it, even if it did miraculously pass. And, of course, as recent events have shown, any time a left-winger judge stops some law from going into effect, well everyone in the Federal government just automatically goes along with it. Can't upset the political left, since they're obviously so much wiser and better than everyone else. So, I oppose a bump-fire stock ban on principle because we aren't going to get a thing out of it, and something more will be lost to people who hate this nation and wish to herd its citizens like cattle.

If we ever get national reciprocity there is no way in the world I'd take a handgun to a commie state. Never.

John Cornyn and other RINOS will make sure that this never happens! They talk a good game but when it comes right down to it all they offer is lip service. They talk the talk but refuse to walk the walk. What is the purpose of haveing a majority in the House and Senate when nothing gets done! It’s like we are still the minority party.

There is no way I would travel somewhere I couldn't take a handgun.

It seems to be past time to REMOVE Mr Cornyn from office

A bipartisan pair of lawmakers unveiled legislation on Tuesday to ban a device used by the suspected gunman in the Las Vegas massacre to make semi-automatic weapons fire shots more rapidly.

The bill, authored by Reps. Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.) and Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), would prohibit the manufacture, sale and use of the devices, known as “bump stocks,” or anything similar that is designed to increase the rate of fire but doesn’t convert a semi-automatic rifle into an automatic weapon.

So I guess they’ll ban belts etc. those can be used to increase the rate of fire...oh, we need to ban fingers too. Yes, like human fingers! They definitely increase the rate of fire. Sweet!
