Ltc disqualifying question

#1

Post by Impala63vert »

When i was 14 i am 25 now, i was arrested for burglary of a habitation. It was a class b misdemenor and i receved deffered adjudication i called my local dps and they said that i was eligible for a ltc, but i read on a chl website that a burglary of a habitation (even with deffered adjudication) was a permanent disqualification. Does any one have any info or know if this is true or am i still eligible

I am not a lawyer, but I believe that if you were charged as a juvenile, it would only be classified as Delinquent Conduct, or Child in Need of Supervision, since it was filed in Family court and you were never certified as an adult.

Have you tried calling the State to ask? I would do that first.

It’s a second degree felony and that should only ban you from LTC for 10yrs for any juvenile felony.
2/26-Mailed paper app and packet.
5/20-Plastic in hand.
83 days mailbox to mailbox.
