AR Heavy-Duty Buffer Retainer

#1

Post by AndyC » Thu Mar 22, 2018 7:49 pm

I've seen a number of ARs grind to a stop thanks to bent or even broken buffer-retainer pins, so I figured I'd get a heavy-duty one to try out - $15 shipped.

A friend of mine, Paul Leitner-Wise, designed and makes this so I ordered one and it arrived today (with a free patch) - easy to replace old for new and now it's one thing I don't have to worry about any more. End of the month I'll order a few more for my other ARs.

I forgot - I got mine from here: https://www.cpi-va.us/leitner-wise-desi ... -retainer/

Nice assault retainer. :D

That makes a lot of sense. Just one more thing to spend money on heh.

I will be ordering a couple. I had this happen to me at the range a year or so ago. Thanks Andy for the information.

I haven’t got one of those, but I have ordered a number of bolts and other BCG parts from LW before.

I have one of his bolts in my primary AR - he designs good solid stuff.
