Far left is angry at Sen. Dianne Feinstein after she apologizes for the disruptions.

https://freebeacon.com/politics/feinste ... sruptions/
Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein (Calif.) provoked outrage from progressive activists on Wednesday after apologizing to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh for the number of protests and disruptions that have taken place during his confirmation hearing.

During her opening statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Feinstein issued an apology to Kavanaugh for the level of vitriol exhibited by those opposing confirmation. The hearing, which began on Tuesday, has faced continuous disruptions from both lawmakers on the dais and protesters in the auidence.

"I'm sorry for the circumstances but we'll get through it," the senator said.
Yes, that was the extent of her apology and the left is furious about it. Apparently civil decorum has completely gone out of style.

Traitor within the White House writes an anonymous op ed for the New York Times.

Working with others in the White House to derail his presidency.
Sounds rather contrived. I believe this is just another attempt, by the MSM, to discredit Trump, and again, they are using "anonymous" sources. If there truly are those inside, who are working to thwart, the President, why are they still there? Why haven't they gone to work for someone they feel would be a better President, in two years? Also, if, as they claim, they want his administration to succeed, why talk to the press? What possible benefit, can be had?

Grassy knoll time: Trump. planted the source and the story, to get MSM running in circles again.
:iagree: It seems like your latter suggestion, the Grassy Knoll reference, might be the most likely prospect. Otherwise, why would the president bother to give the op-ed so much attention??? The president's reaction is effectively giving NYT and the author credibility that would not likely be given to some tabloid seeking sensation. And, it does seem like NYT would not be easily conned so that official acting like a "traitor" did a great job.

Here is one of the best civics lessons in less than 12 minutes. Ben Sasse nailed what the problem is with our government. Term limits must be implemented.

Ex-Trump campaign aide Papadopoulos sentenced to 14 days in prison, one year of supervised release, 200 hours of community service and he was also ordered to pay a fine of $9,500.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa- ... op+News%29

Moss (the judge) said he wanted to impose some prison time because while he did not “remotely believe Mr. Papadopoulos was seeking to assist the Russian government,” he was nevertheless troubled by Papadopoulos’ selfish motives to lie to the FBI so that he would not lose a shot at getting a possible job in the Trump administration. During Friday’s hearing, Papadopoulos’ attorney Thomas Breen went out his way to praise the FBI, and he also criticized Trump for calling the Russia probe fake news and a witch hunt. “The president of the United States hindered this investigation more than George Papadopoulos ever could,” Breen told the judge.

Another conviction. :patriot:

Yep, he lied about doing something that wasn't a crime. Way to go Mueller!! More taxpayer money well spent. That $9500.00 will go a long way to repay the millions already wasted.

Those that continue to rail on Trump and try to point out everything that may damage him and his presidency, you should listen to this and consider the alternative. It does no good to continue to point out everything negative unless you are just a closer liberal progressive democrat that would rather out country become a socialist country.

It's one thing for your candidate to not win the primary or election and another for you to continue to attempt to damage the country by promoting the negative about our president. Sometimes, as adults and patriots, we have to stop throwing out tantrums and make the best of our current situation. I suspect those that are on here trying to point out every negative regarding Trump are actually better off than they have been under the previous three or four presidents.

Lying to officials (federal statute 18 USC Section 1001) was the lesser of crimes he pled guilty to as part of a plea agreement. His lies enabled at least one suspect to escape US jurisdiction before they could be questioned and possibly charged. Perhaps you're comfortable with that level of obstruction, but many are not.

If he didn't want to speak, he should have remained silent; but, as the late Justice Antonin Scalia once explained, “Neither the text nor the spirit of the Fifth Amendment confers a privilege to lie. ‘[P]roper invocation of the Fifth Amendment privilege against compulsory self-incrimination allows a witness to remain silent, but not to swear falsely.’

And for those who believe one might "damage the country by promoting the negative about our president."... how would you justify your hypocrisy for the rant's you have invoked about the former president's? Or, did you only espouse the positive about Obama & Bush and remain silent when you disagreed with their actions and policies?

My point was, it was not a crime, to meet with the Russian. Even, if he had "dirt" on HRC, that does not constitute, any criminal action. Just like the meeting with the female Russian, that Trump Jr. attended. If it was, why hasn't Mueller, indicted, him? Popadopolous, lied to investigators, true, but even the Judge stated, that their was no proof that anything, he did by meeting with him, would have been actionable. You are correct, his best course of action was to keep his mouth shut, and let them prove, a crime was committed.

I have made my points against BHO, very clear. I disagreed with him almost unilaterally, on his policies. However, I never once, expressed, hatred towards him. I am a Patriot, first and foremost, and when I see the travesty, that is the Mueller investigation, perpetrated, by those who wish to try to de-legitimize, a duly elected President, I would have criticized that type of investigation, against BHO. As BHO said, "Elections have consequences" and just because they don't turn out like we want, does, not mean that they somehow need to be subverted. Donald, Trump, went up against, the best this country had to offer, as far as Republican, candidates, and beat them all. Is he a polished speaker? No, is his personality, what we are used to seeing from out leaders? No. Do his morals, perfectly align with mine? No. But he has done everything, he said he would do if elected. He has exposed, the swamp, for what it is, along with the bias, in the MSM, the DOJ, and the intelligence community. That is not the case, with any of our recent POTUS. This investigation, is just what Trump said it is, a witch hunt. They have made up a charge, "collusion" and using the same false information, they used to spy,on his campaign, are now looking for gnat poop, in pepper. JMHO

I never spent my days seeking out the negative tidbits in order to post it on social media, especially on a site made up of people with opposite opinions. I also didn't take every opportunity I could to use every little tidbit of negative press to gin up further dissension.

It has become an obvious trend to indict someone on tax fraud or lying to the FBI when they are unable to indict someone for the original crime for which the investigation was launched. Many will take a plea deal because they were coerced, not because they are actually guilty of a crime.

Here are 4 questions for those that feel the need to continually attack the president by promoting every possible negative media report they can.

What is your goal for constantly trying to point out all the negatives, even when they do not directly relate to Trump?

Are you and the country not better off with Trump as president?

Do you believe you and the country would be better off with Hillary as president?

How do you justify the hypocrisy of constantly promoting negative media reports regarding Trump on here when you didn't do the same regarding Obama, Bush or Clinton?

Leaker says Trump Administration met with military leaders in Venezuela about coup.

Wonder how many will die because of this story?

Is it true?

For the sake of the Venezuela people, I hope so.
