Prayers for my family members

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

My brother in law passed from his frail earthly body to his eternal life in the presence of his Lord yesterday afternoon.

He had a great send off surrounded by my sister, their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his best friend singing hymns and expressing their love for him. His final minutes were with only my sister, their pastor and the attending nurse as he let go of his struggle to live here.

A good man, more a brother to me than being my sister’s husband. Our family will gather this weekend to celebrate his life and the profound impact his life has had on us.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers. He has truly been healed!

Last week we placed my mother in hospice care. For a frail 95 year old, I am amazed at how her body just refuses to give up. Her soul cries out to be absent from the body and in the presence of her Lord and Savior.

The family asks all prayers be that the Lord will take her to be with Him forever soon.

Praises to a hospice care organization that sees their work as ministry, not a job. The difference between those people who care about the patient and family, and those at the nursing home who are there to collect a paycheck is a wide gulf.

I agree about hospice caregivers, they are angels on Earth. My grandmother lived to 101 her last two weeks were in hospice.
Prayers sent for you, your family, and your mother, as she transitions from this life to her healthy pain free place with her Lord.
