Art talking to the news media again about guns:

“The suspect fired quite a few rounds from a semi-automatic pistol,”

Officers dodged the bullets.

Fortunate that the suspect was not killed in the exchange of gunfire.

Police wore body cams.

I'm sure Art thinks, more gun laws would have prevented this. Maybe they should make it illegal to burglarize pawn shops, and shoot at police. :banghead: :banghead:

If Art can't handle Americans lawfully owning guns, maybe he should move across the border to Monterrey or Nuevo Laredo where citizen ownership of firearms is severely restricted and the cartels run everything:

New Mexican police chief killed in ambush...Five police officers, five other suspects arrested
Retired Gen. Juan Esparza lasted just five days in his new job as police chief of a Monterrey suburb before he was gunned down along with four bodyguards by suspected gangsters
The police chief of Nuevo Laredo, the city north of Monterrey that borders Laredo, Texas, was gunned down just seven hours after taking office in 2005 amid a turf war between the Gulf Cartel and rivals for control of smuggling routes through the city.
The cartels like to give a silver or lead offer. Honest police don't even have a chance in Mexico. Only an armed population can beat the cartels

“The suspect ... fired quite a few rounds from a semi-automatic pistol,” Acevedo said. “Neither officer was hurt and the suspect himself was fortunate he did not lose his life in this exchange of gunfire.”

So neither side could hit their targets...

Interesting. In 1938 Mao Tse-tung stated:
Every Communist must grasp the truth, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun." Our principle is that the Party commands the gun
Apparently Art understands Communism deeply.
