I was able to find some 10mm on line a month ago, but that has dried up.

I was at Shoot point blank in arlington today (3:00 pm )and they had 45 acp and 40 cal on the shelf i did not stay long enough to remember the others
however they only have one shelf with ammo on it.hat or caps on the other one . prices looked normal not inflated but i did not try to buy. There were more pistols their than i have seen in the last month .Academy has been Stripped. one caught my eye was a Hertiage 22 coyboy pistol for 119.00 unless i miss read it. And a Ruger 22 for around 200. just though you might want to know.

Shoot Point Blank in Round Rock had about 200 boxes of 9mm on the shelf at 1800 today. $16.99.

I waited in line at Academy this morning....

I got there an hour before open and there were already about 20 people in line. By opening time, there were 50-60, and to my surprise they got enough ammo in overnight that we all got our 3 boxes- and all were able to have a choice of brass or steel and buy bulk packs. 9mm was $0.24 round in bulk and 223/556 were $0.40 a round in bulk. When the line cleared out, there were still a couple carts of ammo left for latecomers.

If you are willing to show some initiative and withstand a little inconvenience you can still buy ammo at a fairly reasonable price.

Just walked in to Walmart in Katy on Morton Rd/99 and I checked their ammo supply. They had 22lr Federal 550 brick for $21.50 so I bought one. They had about 3 more. Also had 22 magnum rounds. No hand gun but plenty of shotgun shells and 270, 30.06.

I bought a henry .22 lever action, and was able to get some .22lr and .22 shorts with it - just because I bought the gun.

Seemed nice to do that, but no gun purchase, no ammo!

Wife came home last night and said she found and bought a box of Winchester White box of .38 for $70.00. At first I was a little upset at her for paying that price but she was getting low and I have not been able to locate any .44, .45, 30.06 and limited amounts of .556/.223. If anyone know where a good buy (at least for these times) on any please let me know.

I am afraid of the answer but have to ask. How many rounds in that 70 dollar box?

Freedommunitions has 38, 44, 45, 5.56 and even 30-06 in stock. Although that 30-06 is 1.75 a round - ouch!

I have ordered from them in the past and have always been happy with their ammo. Zero duds in the over 10k rounds I have bought. I have shot a little over half of them. However, make sure your AV software is up to date or use a site scanner before going there. Their web site was compromised once and another forum member got his credit card stolen. I haven’t had that happen to me but I am paranoid when surfing the web, use a sandbox, and one time credit cards. So be aware.

Just checked Freedom munitions and the .38 she bought elsewhere for 70.00 is 68.00. Add in shipping and it’s more. However, I ordered .45, .556. 30.06, and .44 mag along with another.38 for same shipping as single box so all is good I guess. These prices have to come down sometime

Holy Crap! That is just crazy. .38 and .357 were two of the calibers I never stocked up on. I am regretting that now. I have the dies and brass to reload it but none of the components.

Yeah same here... I have over 8k .45 but only about 150 357. I don't shoot the revolver nearly as much but what the heck happened? I thought 38/357 that stuff will be around forever...
