ARLINGTON -- Police arrested an Arlington man Saturday in connection with the Dec. 3 attempted robbery and shooting of a pizza delivery driver.
Zach Tyler, 18, is accused of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, according to Lt. Blake Miller, a police spokesman.
Police say the 49-year-old driver was directed to an address that did not exist and then to the wrong home before his vehicle was blocked by another vehicle near Fannin Farm Way and Calmont Drive.
A man approached the pizza delivery vehicle and shot the driver in the leg as he drove away, Miller said. The wounded man got help from an Arlington officer, who called for an ambulance.
Tyler was being held Sunday in the Arlington Jail; bail was set at $100,000, jail records show. He was arrested in the 8000 block of Joshua Tree Court; police also recovered a weapon, Miller said.

The inventor of the modern bullet resistant vest was a pizza delivery guy and had to shoot three gang members in detroit. It was a Weaponology episode tracing the development of body armor.
