so im sure everyone has that gun they would realy like to have something i have wanted for as long as i knew what guns were i wanted a tommy gun but i have only seen ones that cost a fortune are there any out there that dont cost all kinds of cash i dont need a top of the line auto ord in fact i would prefer a GI one i can work on do some things myself have some fun with it so is there any chance this gun exists

The only ones I like are the Short Barrel Models that are what the GI models were. Unfortunately they are classed as SBR's and require a 300 tax stamp and a long time to get the paperwork done to own one........

yeah im sure the original ones do but are there any that are like the 1911 and aks remakes that are semi and have a 16 inch berral i like the GI style is my point the gangter ones in all the movies not so much

Ok, by GI style do you mean horizontal forearm opposed to the vertical one? If so, you want the Auto Ord M-1. Real GI guns had 12 inch barrels, and that requires a tax stamp. If all you can find is a 1927, you can change the forearm from vertical to horizontal for about $50. I did on mine.

thats idealy what i want since its a short barrel what would i need to do to get one
or is there 16 inch versions how much do they cost

That is a 16 1/2 inch barrel. The supressor pushes it to 18". Check here...

This would be easier to discuss over a cold one! Mine is a 1927, and will accept a drum mag. The link I gave you is for the M-1 which will not accept a drum. 20 and 30 round sticks are ok in both.

yeah im sure i could discuss all the fine details for hours are there 50 round sticks or is that made up

what kind of grouping at distance can you expect from a gun like that
i have an ak i can shoot at 200 yards and hit small steel targets its not sniper rifle but a 2 foot tall pig is no big challange can i expect the same from a tommy or is that distance out of the question

The Thompson is chambered for the .45 ACP pistol cartridge. It was never meant to tag targets at 200 yards, though it probably will. It was meant for short range work. Other guys in the platoon would have Garands which would make very short work of a 200 yard target.

I have never seen a 50 round stick. Of course, that doesn't mean they don't exist.
