Is this to large of weapon to carry daily, some have suggested the XDsc 9 is more suitable for daily carry.
I was hoping to get a weapon that was both fun to shoot at the range and also carry daily.
I have a XD 9 SC that carries very well with the 10 Rd. magazine in either a Don Hume J.I.T. or a Don Hume First Agent holster. My XD .45 Service 4" does not carry as well due to the longer grip/magazine; however, I do carry it and nobody but me and Mrs. Oldgringo knows. I don't plan on gettin' in any shootouts that last longer than 10 rounds so I don't concern myself too much with carryin' the large capacity mags.

Others have said the difference between the XD and the XDM is not as great as the difference in the price between the two - I don't know?
Mrs. Oldgrino and I watched "Dark Knight" earlier this week. Maybe a 10 rd. mag is not enough? The BG's in this movie must of had 50 rd. mags. Even that wasn't enough to get the "Caped Crusader" when he took wing.

"rlol" What to do, what to do?

Hey,
Thanks for all the input. I ended up getting a XD9sc with night sites.
I hope to be heading to the range this weeknd to get in some much needed practice.
Any good suggestions on a holster, as I plan to carry it daily.
Thanks!

I see that you already picked up a XD9sc, but I thought I would throw in my 2 cents. My wife's LCP was sent in for the recall, so she has been carrying my Taurus pt-140. Not wanting to be without, I have been carrying my XDM 9mm for the past three weeks in a CrossBreed IWB holster. It has been quite comfortable for me.

By the way I would recommend the Crossbreed, a little bit of a pain to get on, but once you do you it's great. My Crossbreed fits the XDM and the pt-140 perfectly (it was purchased for the pt-140). One final note, if you go with the Crossbreed get the "combat grip." I didn't and it was too difficult to get a good grip while drawing. I ended up trimming the excess leather myself, not as pretty as the combat grip, but it works.
