i have applied on line and will be taking class this weekend
I have done the online application and will be taking class in 6 days but was just told that a felony arrest that was pled and convicted as a misdemeanor will prevent me from rercieving my chl. i have a total of 3 misdemeanors all dating from 1983 to 1989 . i went to county clerk and got my records to show they are all misd. but a coworker believes i will be unable to recieve my chl. i have my pin# and packet is on way but i now believe i have wasted both time and money. any help ya'll could give me would be helpful thanks

IANAL, but...
IANAL, but I don't see how a felony arrest would keep you from getting your CHL. If I'm not mistaken, they are looking at felony convictions, not arrests.
If the case was disposed of as a misdemeanor from 17 years or more ago, I don't see how it's relevant or would keep you from getting your CHL unless you completed any portion of the prison time/parole less than 5 years ago.
I'm sure you'll get more opinions from others with more direct experience with the law than I, but I don't believe it is relevant.
