Yeah, your right. There's also a color difference in the rear windshield.
Oh wait...... thats a REFLECTION!!! Well, who would have thought that you could darken a color by covering it with a huge tree.
That area of the photo is so different, anybody who could PS this would have easily noticed the difference and fixed it.
REAL!!!

I would list all my credentials in image and web work...but...I don't really care.

I haven't seen any confirmation from the MF PD....just a message board post that says someone talked to them and they said..........kauboy wrote:Unfortunately, since the image was proven real by a call to the local PD in Marble Falls
That doesn't sound too credible to me, so I googled a variety of phrases involving Marble Falls, police, standoff, etc. I didn't find anything that matched up.
Does someone have the info for what publication this appeared in, when the incident took place, etc.?
For those of us who are "photoshop" challenged, that might mean more than the discussion about lines and shadows and such.
Yup - and I said earlier...It seems off that shift captain or whoever, would spill the beans on one of his own.wrt45 wrote:I haven't seen any confirmation from the MF PD....just a message board post that says someone talked to them and they said..........kauboy wrote:Unfortunately, since the image was proven real by a call to the local PD in Marble Falls

I'd be curious to know for sure, I was just posting my inclinations.

If you don't wish to believe it, I wouldn't trust the rest of the internet to offer you any more proof. If you want the truth, go to the source. Call 'em up and see just how much a shift captain might spill. As for me, I completely believe its possible since plenty of guys on the AR forum said they have seen it done in training courses and military demos alike.

I looked it up over at The High Road board and two guys posted that they could do it with their ARs. It all depends on the mag apparently. One was poised and ready to post a pic but didn't know how to host it. Then the thread was locked.
Guy named blackhawk2000:
Guy named blackhawk2000:
Another who doubted him at first named sacp81170aOK, I just did it again to remember how I did it. Ammo up. Put the back of the mag in first. Then rock the front of the mag in. It only goes in until the rib hits the magwell. Gun is factory Bushmaster. Cproducts aluminum, and SS will do it. Labelle will do it, but my Okay Ind, will not do it.
Again, its on an internet forum and you can take it as you wish. But if you continue to sluff off everything you hear as ignorance or a lie, then you'll never know the truth. That 'splains it. I've got a Sanchez Ent. that won't work (the first one I tried) but when I tried an Adventure Line it *did* stay in. Gun is factory Armalite AR-15 HBAR. Guess it really can happen...

Plus that I stuck a full 30 round mag (for weight purposes only, and never charged the weapon, at that time) in the lower of one of mine at the house last night...kauboy wrote:If you don't wish to believe it, I wouldn't trust the rest of the internet to offer you any more proof. Sucker jambed up in there real nice...
Now, here's what I found out...
Since the magazine does not fully seat or align up to where you actually can chamber a round...After I confirmed that, I did a test of what I thought might have happened...
After seating the magazine in this fashion, I went to charge the weapon, and proved that the alignment, much less the ability of the carrier bolt to pick up anything or even ride over and touch the top of a round in that configuration...
So I believe in a stressful situation, anyone could have done this, (think) you charge the weapon, and "click"...
Nothing...

To remedy this I obviously believe a quick check of the rifle and swap to another magazine can alieviate this situation and get you back up and operational very quickly...
I would certainly discard and not use the incorrectly inserted magazine till I could check it out in a more controlled environment...

just don't take it so personally.
no one said anything about you, or your photoshop abilities.

for the record, I believe the gigag's version.
I don't see it as part of the windshield.
although, I do believe this could happen, I don't think it's the case here.
I think he who said it was a barb at female cops is the correct one.
