Kydex Question

Just got my Crossbreed Supertuck for 1911. The kydex fit is tight! Some of this is due to my Kimber having the Crimson Trace Laser grips on it. The laser sight is built into the right-side grip, meant for the typical right handed person to holster. Just another jab at us left handed people!!

Question is, will the kydex "break in" or loosen a bit at all? Right now it's so tight that it's a chore to draw my gun! Maybe the bad guy will fall over from laughing while I try to pull my weapon!!!!

May have to cut out some leather? Don't know if this is going to work out for me. Love the fit though!

Unload the weapon, put it in the holster
Get a hair dryer, heat it up, it won't take long and don't get it super hot, then pull the weapon and reholster it a couple of times, the in and out, while it is warm, will loosen it slightly

Kydex is easy to work with.
I once used a heat gun to reform a supertuck made for a Taurus MillPro to fit an XDsc.

If you put sheet kydex in the oven it's gets pliable like a cooked lasagna noodle.

Just tried the hairdryer trick. Seems to have worked pretty well!

Now it looks like I'm going to need to trim the leather back on the top. Having a hard time getting a good grip on the handle quickly.
Or maybe need to lose a few pounds...

I had the same problem until I did my own "combat cut".
