Also 1,000 rounds fired basically non-stop on a G19 - at about 950 rounds the barrel, slide, springs are so hot it melts the polymer guide rod - but gun keeps on firing without the guide rod!

They should have used a few 33rd mags. Would have cut reload time in half.

Well, I actually have the money together for the purchase as of today :hurry:, a whole month early . Looks like a toss up between the XD .45 compact, M&P .45 fs, and the M&P compact.
The Big Town Gunshow is this weekend and I'll be there about 10ish tomorrow, pm me if you are going to be there at that time.
I know there will be lots of good deals, so who knows I might end up with something totally diferent. I'll let you know.
Once I make the purchase I'm headed straight to the range :fire to field test and collect some firewood for the camping trip next weekend.

Okay, well, the gun show was a lot of fun. I did my rounds handling and what not. I am now the proud owner of a S&W M&P .45 compact :anamatedbanana . I just felt oh so right in my hand and pointed so naturally. I went directly to our property n the woods for a test. I LOVE this gun!!!! I put about 110 rds through it and purposly limp wristed it shot off handed rapid fire and could not get this thing to malfunction. It shoots softly and sits nicely in my hand. after getting kinda of used to the trigger I shot for acuracy off hand a 7 yds OMG this thing is acurate, 1 1/8", I couldn't believe it. I think on a bench this thing would make one ragged hole. I went out to 30 yds and kept 4 out of 8 in the head of a B27, with 2 rds touching.

Any way, thanks for all of the feed back and advice. I am very greatfull to those of you who encouraged me to look at the M&P, :tiphat: Thanks' a bunch TAM & Austinrealtor. Well now I've got to go and order a holster and magazine. There were none to be found for this gun. On another note it was the only one that I cold locate at the entire show.

I'll post pics once I figure out which setting on my camera will make the file small enough, or I figure out how to use photo bucket or one of those things.

Nice gun RAM :thumbs2:

I REALLY like the way the M&P45 compact fits my hands too. Could be my next purchase as well if I find a good deal on one - my full-size M&P45 needs a baby brother  .

Comp Tac MTAC really works well with these guns if you like IWB.
