Andy, I have owned the gun for 5 years and have been very happy with it. No problems with it at all. Since parts are getting hard to find, I was wondering what parts spare you would suggest that I buy "just in case." You are right about the CZ clone issue. The AT-380 is nothing like the CZ75, CZ82 or CZ83.AndyC wrote:Well, Sphinx did/does make a CZ75 clone, but the AT-380 isn't a clone of that; it's sorta-kinda based on the CZ82/83 series.
No spares, hmmm.... personally, I'd pass (reluctantly).
Edit: I misread, sorry. If you have a good source for parts, then go for it.
Thanks for your post. I agree that this would be the best, but I don't want to have more money invested in parts than the value of the gun. The barrel of the Sphinx is welded to the frame, so that isn't an option nor is it a concern. I have a spare set of [plastic] grips and plenty of magazines. This is a carry gun and I don't plan on shooting tens of thousands of rounds.mr surveyor wrote:Just my opinion, but a spare parts kit for any obselete firearm should include all springs, pins, firing pin, extractor, ejector, as well as magazine springs and followers. When they are gone...they're gone. Not a bad idea to have a spare barrel if they can be had within the budget. surv
