An Indoor Hog Hunt?

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- A homeowner in Melbourne trying to remodel his home found a wild boar inside and it just wouldn't leave. Authorities had to lasso it in order to get it out (images | raw video).
BOAR CAPTURED: See Images | Watch Raw Video
The boar was running around the neighborhood and went into the house being remodeled. A Melbourne police officer shot it with a Taser, but even that wouldn't bring the beast down.
Just after 9:00am Monday, police and animal control officers were called after a homeowner found the wild boar rummaging through his home on Fillmore Avenue (see map). It managed to get inside the home while people were moving supplies in and out of the house.
Fortunately, the home is being remodeled so the boar didn't do any damage to the house.
Authorities say it was charging at people. A Melbourne police officer tried to taze the boar, but the electrified prong couldn't get through the thick hide and it didn't faze him.
Ultimately, the boar was lassoed by a trapper and taken away.
The house where the boar was found is in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Nobody seems to know how the boar got there in the first place.

Haha, it probably would go down like that Phillies fan that got the taser the other day. I could see them running down the street trying to tase the hog.

I would not be surprised if that was a prior trapped boar that had been penned up somewhere, got used to people, and later got loose.

In my neck of the woods it would be more like "Don't TASTE me bro!" HMMMMMMM! Pork ribs and a Boston cut shoulder roast - using Kimble's 2 day old fashioned recipe!

'Indoor hog hunts' in my neck of the woods take place with great frequency . . . and I've got a preference for the thick cut hickory smoked!

I can honestly say I've never been hoggin indoor or out and I have never walked the dog. Although, I have been witness to such activity.

I have heard that hoggin can be very dangerous, that often the hunter can become the hunted.

Yeah, but in this heat, an indoor hog would NOT be welcome. :biggrinjester:
