HK Pistol Owners Take Note: "Bill Springfield"

Ran her through her paces at the range. (new set of Hienie Straight 8 night sights) Easy sight acquisition, shot to POA, and the Bill Springfield trigger job made a world of difference.

Gotta give Bill props since he completed the work and shipped the gun back to me before he'd even received payment. (I think this is about the sixth or seventh gun he's done for me.)

Started carrying it again night before last, so it's back on duty.

The Kramer seems to be working fine so far.

Have no idea when it was born, but those kinds of things never have mattered to me. If it's an HK, shoots well, and the price is right...we're in business.

Looks like mfg in 2006, german guns normally use letter codes for the dates being: a=0 b=1 etc. So ag=06, someone correct me if I'm wrong of course

My HK USP9c shoots always 1.5 inch to the left and slightly lower. You think he can correct it?

Hmm... Just took a look at his web site...
$59 for reworking the trigger on my HK... Including return postage.!

reduce single action and double action pull weight 1 to 2lbs, also SA actual sear creep reduced up to 85% after slack take up. $59. Only the lower frame less the magazine is needed.

If I was nit-picking, this is the one thing I'd like to improve on my HK..

I was wondering how long it would be before someone posted that crap.

Bill's always been friendly and polite on the phone with me besides doing excellent work on a half dozen guns I've sent him.

I'll put my experience up against anyone else's, so you take that for what it's worth.

He told me he has no formal training and taught himself by tinkering on his own guns.

I realize that "self-taught" can be valuable, however....... "no formal training" at all is troublesome. YMMV

No problem... I don't think it's "crap" - I think the info in that thread is worth seeing. It's someone else's story, but it does give pause... Its an old thread, and many do not know that story.

This is kind of oddly coincidental.

I bought my first HK from doc540, a USP9. It had the Springfield trigger job on it when I got it and it is AMAZING! I will never get rid of that gun...it's that good.

About a year later a bought an HK UPS9 Compact from Shipwreck because I enjoyed the full size HK so much. I really wanted to get the Springfield trigger job on that one too. We tried to contact Bill every way possible listed on his website. We never could get in touch with him, no return emails or anything. We eventually gave up. I ended up selling the Compact.

That's been about a year or so ago. But I have nothing but good things to say about the work he did on the full size HK.
