Best reteivers I have used

#1

Post by Cool Arrow »

I usually lose about three to four birds every time we go dove hunting. This time we lost one. The grass is kinda high and it was getting close to dusk when we lost the one bird. It was fun seeing these guys charge out into the brush after the downed birds.

Yeah, I've seen reports on that breed of Retriever. Seems they are easy to work with when young, but get difficult and even totally break training when they get older...

Yep, I use the same type of retreiver when dove hunting.

And I'll agree, the older they get, the tougher they are to train!!

How do they respond to e-collar training? I've had wonderful results running a tritronics G3 on my lab. It may help yours keep their training...

No number two and four are mine, the other two are their cousins. When all of them are together its like trying to herd a pack of javalinas. Theres alot of energy in these kids. The collar idea has crossed my mind a time or two. hehehehe.....

Gus, I sure hope you haven't been affected by the fires down there! My family just sold a ranch in Bastrop county...down 304 a few miles and I learned it almost burned also. I still have family there and they said the fires actually jumped the Colorado River!!!
