On a road trip, I keep 1 in the door panel and the other on my hip.

...good plan...often a concealed gun on us is harder to draw when sitting in a car...a second one unaffected by clothes or seat belt will give you a much quicker response...and leave something for a spouse to keep company with while you change a tire, get gas, or go into a store...let alone walk for a distance...are they the same caliber so you only have to carry one ammo???

I have 3 hand guns that I conceal carry, all 9mm, all DA/SA all the safetys work the same. Unfortunatly the mags aren't interchangable.

Sometimes it is easier to carry spare ammo with a gun wrapped around it already. No one will argue that spare ammo is a strange thing to carry.

Why do so many folks feel the need to possess more than one concealed weapon on a daily basis? Has the world dropped to a level where this is needed? Do you find or place your-self in such a dangerous society or location on a daily basis?

It is easy to find yourself in a bad area. Highways often lead through bad areas. If you run out of gas or you car starts having problems your not always going to be able to get to a "good area". I used to work out of town and traveled a lot. I was coming home one weekend that happened to be the same weekend spring break started. So, naturally there were a lot of college kids coming home. Naturally, i was kinda checking out any of the college girls i could find. I was on 35W traveling just south of Ft. Worth going north when i noticed a car in front of me had smoke coming from underneath the engine. I noticed a sticker on the back window that said Aggie Girl so i was kinda interested. lol I started seeing rubber pieces coming out from under so i figured her serpentine belt was breaking apart. In less than a minute her belt comes flying out from under her car and she starts pulling off the highway. Looking around i notice we're passing Rosedale St. If any of you know the area, then you know it's not the best part of town in the world. So, i follow here just to see if she's ok. She pulls off and into a gas station. I get caught in traffic for a minute and by the time i pull in, there's already 3 guys in wife beaters and their pants hanging around their knees surrounding her car and giving here a hard time (G rated site so i cant post what they were saying.) I pulled up beside her car and asked stepped out. Luckly they just left. She rolled down her window just a little and said thanks. I asked if she needed help and she said her gauges went down and when she got off the highway she could barley turn the car. To make a long story shorter, I gave here a ride to the parts store to buy a belt and helped her put it on...but didn't get a number Bottom line, You never know when you might find yourself in a "bad area".

Well, sometimes, some foods just don't agree with me either

But yes, Criminals and trouble in general has a way of starting in places you'd never expect.

Who knew Barber shops, hair salons, Fort Hood, Luby's, and colleges and churches weren't all SAFE PLACES (gun-free zones)

I totally agree. Once you have been shot at reality sets in- the world isn't a rosy place. In the Army, we called it redundancy. We used a process called the Military Decision Making Process when we prepared operation's orders. You have a plan (Primary EDC) and then you have a plan (BUG) when the original plan goes South (usually that occurred whenever the original plan moved from theory to Praxis).
