supply catching up with demand

Post by gfmun »

I stopped by a gun store in Weatherford today and they had a wall full of AR-15s and AR-10s. The counter guy told me they received 25 ARs yesterday. I did not recognize any of the brand names, but they looked good.

Lots of AR mags, although PMags were $45, there was a ton on off brand poly type mags available at a decent price. Ammo is tight and they have an onsight range so they are starting to reload 9mm to satisfy those customers.

AR prices were mostly in the $1200 - $1300 range. Still a little high, but not the $2500 we were seeing.

Maybe, but those $1,200 guns might have only been $800 6 months ago.

If it is the store I think it is, they are usually higher than a cat's back on stuff...hope they have found the err in their ways and are on the straight and narrow now.
Pmags for $45 qualify as "cat's back pricing" to me...or maybe that's the going rate now-a-days.

I doubt we will see $800 ARs again. The price will probably go to $1000 or $999 and stay there and people will jump all over it because the prices are so low.

Yeah that store is high, but people seem to be paying it and they seem to have a good business. I bought a belt for the same price advertised on the 'net. I do believe $45 for a PMag is a rip off.

Did you know that Cheaper Than Dirt sells PMAGs for $75 and calls the 30 round mags "high capacity"?

No one should ever buy from them again.
