The CHL printing was $9.95, the company and process were the same as used for my PE, but the PE prints cost $42. Hmmmmmmm.......

I received my plastic last Friday (3/28) so it was 16 days for me. I did email the barcode page with the empty list, but I don't know if that really made a difference.

So I'm now good until 2019. :fire

03/12/2014: Applied for renewal

03/19/2014: Notified that fingerprints on file were rejected by the FBI

03/27/2014: Reprinted

4/11/2014: Plastic arrived

So, it basically took a day short of a month with an approximate 10 delay for new fingerprints. Or right at about 3 weeks if your prints are good (my son's took 3 weeks).

Not as much of a delay as I expected when notified I had to submit new prints.

Yes.
The law specifically states that the prints for CHL are limited to ten bucks. Sounds like a weakness in the Engineer licensing laws...

The process is confusing

they say EMAIL but they never say WHERE TO EMAIL

the "receipt " you print seems to have a email link on it but since you never see it except printed or in PDF you cant see what the link is

"Submit this checklist and all required items by email to RSD or by mail to:"
RSD is blue on the PDF as if its a link but it isnt

Clicking around on the texas.gov site I found this
https://www.txdps.state.tx.us/rsd/contact/default.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

that has a FORM you can use to email the checklist -
Wow only the Govt could make things so arcane

I had sent in my photos with packet and DPS had mailed me back saying my photo needed to be taken again because it was 'too dark'. No problem, headed to my local drug store, had my passport photo taken. Made sure I looked good ( ) and sent it to DPS. about 3 days later, I had received my CHL with my old photo. :eek6

Weird, but it is what it is..

Now, 4 years later, I am renewing my application online. I am praying that I don't have to go retake my photos again for that will take longer to process. I took my sweet time and decided to do it 50 days before my CHL expires. Yeah, I know.. 4 years just passes by..

So.. here's hoping that I don't have to take my photos again. :cheers2:

I checked my status and it read that fingerprints were not accepted, but I was never notified. :???: Anyways, now I need to look for place to do my prints. Anyone know where I can go in San Antonio, then, do I need to notify anyone when I've completed them?
