Frisco police confiscated two guns and five bottles of steroids from the home of Paul Clarence Bailey, who was arrested last week after police say he shot at them during a welfare check.
Items taken from Bailey's home in the 6500 block of Winston Drive near Hillcrest Road and College Parkway included three bottles of Nandrolona 300, one bottle of Cypionato 200 and one bottle of Dianabolona 50. Versions of all three are listed as anabolic/androgenic steroids.
Also in police inventory: a .44-caliber Fillipietta black powder gun and a 1m1-Uzi Eagle 9 mm gun with magazine.
Bailey, 55, who is free on bail, could not be reached for comment.
According to an arrest affidavit, police were called to Bailey's home just before 11:30 p.m. June 28 by his son, who said his father had lost his business and was threatening to harm himself. Records show Bailey works as a car dealer.
The two officers who responded knocked on the front door and, when there was no response, rang the doorbell. They said they could see Bailey inside the home through a window as he got up, went to the door and fired a handgun at it.
The officers retreated and called for the special operations unit. According to the report, Bailey called police, told them he was fine and then disconnected his phone. He did not respond to requests to come out of the house.
Later, after talking with negotiators, Bailey came out just before 4 a.m. and was arrested. He faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Although the article did not state it, I'm assuming that the steroids in the house make this a a 'roid rage incident.
Frisco is an affluent, high-growth northern Dallas suburb.
