Stafford: Officer charged with theft from property room

In Stafford (Houston suburb) a 19-year veteran police officer has been indicted for stealing some $14,000 worth of items from the property room between 2005 and 2010.

The theft was discovered when the officer shot and injured himself at a shooting range, and another officer had to take over his duties.
