TX GOP Convention

Post by Carl »

I will be attending the Texas GOP Convention in Fort Worth. It is being held at the Fort Worth Convention Center. I understand the Convention Center should allow CHL carry.

My question concerns the Convention itself. Does it fall under the reference to "official political meetings" ( I think that is the correct phrasing), or, since voting will occur and elections will be held does it fall under the polling place designation?

I appreciate any information you have about this.

1. The Texas GOP is not a government agency.

2. If they can legally campaign inside, it's obviously not a polling place under Texas law.

Thanks for the reply. Don't know why I got so weirded out over the issue. I guess I was just over thinking the situation. Needed someone to inject a little common sense.
